Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering/Technology in the relevant stream (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.) or Diploma in the relevant Engineering stream.

Age Limit: Minimum: 18 years

Maximum:

  • General: 35 years
  • OBC-1: 38 years
  • OBC-2: 38 years
  • SC/ST: 40 years

Application Process

Candidates can apply for the Junior Engineer post through the official JSSC website https://jssc.nic.in/. The application link will be active for approximately four weeks. Applicants need to provide necessary details, attach required documents, and pay the application fee.

Application Fee:

  • General, OBC-1, OBC-2: ₹100
  • SC/ST: ₹50

The fee must be deposited by the last date otherwise, the application will not be accepted.

Selection Process

The selection process consists of two stages:

Written Examination:

Paper I:

  • Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
  • Duration: 2 hours
  • Total Questions: 120 (80 General Engineering + 40 General Knowledge)
  • Maximum Marks: 360
  • Question Type: Objective
  • Marking Scheme: +3 marks for each correct answer, -1 mark for each wrong answer
  • Medium: Bilingual (English & Hindi)

Paper II:

  • Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
  • Duration: 2 hours
  • Total Questions: 120 (Subject-Specific)
  • Maximum Marks: 360
  • Question Type: Objective
  • Marking Scheme: +3 marks for each correct answer, -1 mark for each wrong answer
  • Medium: Bilingual (English & Hindi)

Document Verification:

  • Candidates who clear the written examination will be called for document verification.
  • Final selection will be based on performance in the written examination and successful verification of documents.
