Delhi’s private schools are starting admissions for the 2024-25 school year. They have set aside 25% of their seats for kids from less wealthy families and those who face other disadvantages. Out of these, 3% are for kids with special needs. Parents can apply from April 30 to May 15, 2024. The schools will draw names in a lottery on May 20, 2024, to decide who gets in. Families earning up to ₹2.5 lakh can now apply, up from the previous limit of ₹1 lakh. There are 1736 schools taking part in this program. The lottery is done by a computer.

Eligibility
- Where to live: The kid needs to live in Delhi.
- How old: For nursery, kids from EWS & DG should be 3-5 years old, and CWSN kids should be 3-7 years old. For KG, it’s 4-6 years for EWS & DG and 4-8 years for CWSN. For Class 1, it’s 5-7 years for EWS & DG and 5-9 years for CWSN.
- Income: Parents should earn less than ₹1 lakh for the 2024-25 EWS Admission. But, the Delhi high court has raised this to ₹2.5 lakh.

- Go to the Delhi Education Department’s website.
- Look for the 2024-25 EWS admissions section.
- Click on the “Register” link for these admissions.
- Sign up with your info like phone number and email.
- Log in and fill out the form with the right info like your kid’s name and school choice.
- Upload the needed documents in the right size.
- Check your info and hit “Submit”.
- Save the form and wait for the lottery result.
- If your kid gets picked, finish the admission process at the school quickly.
