PM Scholarship Scheme Benefits 2024-25
The PM’s Scholarship is given to 5500 dependents of ex-servicemen each year, with an equal number of boys and girls. The scholarship lasts between one to five years, depending on the course. Boys now get Rs 2500 per month, an increase from Rs 2000, and girls get Rs 3000, up from Rs 2250. Children of state police also receive a monthly scholarship of Rs 500.
PM Scholarship 2024-25 Eligibility Criteria
- To apply for the PM Scholarship 2024-25, you need at least 60% marks in 12th grade for undergraduate courses.
- For postgraduate courses, you need the same percentage in your graduation.
- The scholarship is open to dependents of martyrs and ex-servicemen from the Indian military and paramilitary forces.
- It’s also open to dependents of state and union territory police forces.

- Verify your mobile and Aadhaar numbers.
- Complete the registration form and click “Register”.
- Keep a note of your registration number for future reference.
How to apply for the PM Scholarship 2024-25 ?
- Go to the National Scholarship Portal website.
- Click on “New Application” on the homepage.
- Log in with your registration number, password, and captcha. Verify with the OTP sent to your mobile. Your initial password is your birthdate (in DD-MM-YYYY format).
- You will asked to create a new password. Do so and submit.
- Fill out the PM Scholarship application form for 2024. Choose your category in “Basic Profession” at the end of the form. Click “Save and Continue”.
- Choose “Pradhan Mantri Scholarship Scheme” under “Scheme”. Upload all necessary documents, enter your address, and click “Final Submit”.
