The website helps mothers register and get timely healthcare. It helps reduce mother and infant deaths by keeping an eye on high-risk pregnancies and providing necessary help. It also syncs well with the state’s system for recording births and deaths, ensuring all records are up-to-date and correct.

Registration of Pregnancy:

1. Registering with a Village Health Nurse: Pregnant women can sign up with a local nurse. The nurse checks the pregnancy, registers it on PICME, and gives an RCH ID. If a woman doesn’t have an RCH ID when she gives birth, she should get one right after and tell the hospital.

2. Pre-Registration for New Residents: New residents can pre-register their pregnancy if they can’t find local nurse. They can do this online at PICME, at an e-Seva center, by calling 102, or at a government hospital. After pre-registering, they will get a confirmation message. A nurse will then contact them to finish the registration. They will get an RCH ID and regular reminders about services. The PICME system shares the RCH ID with the state’s birth and death registration system. When a birth is registered, the birth number is shared with PICME.
