Meta agreed to pay $725 million to settle all valid claims, including costs like lawyer fees and other expenses.
How much money you’ll get depends on a few things:
- How many valid claims there are
- The cost of running the settlement
- How long you used Facebook
After taking out the costs, the rest of the money is called the Net Settlement Fund. If you filed a valid claim, you’ll get a share of this fund.
You’ll get points for each month you used Facebook. These points will decide how much of the fund you get.
People are expecting to get around $30 each. You’ll get the money through PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, or a check in the mail, depending on what you chose when you filed your claim.
