22. National Zoological Park Delhi- Must Visit Tourist Attractions
National Zoological Park also known as Delhi Zoo is an abode to about 1350 animals which includes about 130 species of animals and birds worldwide. It is a 176-acre zoo located near Old Fort in Delhi and is recognized as one of the musts visited tourist attractions in Delhi.
Delhi zoo provides the kind of environment which is very close to the natural habitat of animals. There are many animals in the zoo like the hippopotamus, African Wild Buffalo, Gir lion, chimpanzees, leopard, giraffe, hyenas, and zebras.
The zoo also has an underground reptile house which is an abode to many reptiles such as Gharial, Indian Cobra, Marsh Crocodile, Indian Star Tortoise, and the Indian Sand Boa. There are many species of birds also in National Zoological Park such as Sarus Crane, Peafowl, Emu, the Barn Owl, and Grey Hornbill.
There is another section also in the zoo which consists of migratory birds like storks grace and peafowl. The environment of the National Zoological Park is very lively, and visitors enjoy exploring the place.

- Timings: summer months from April to October 9 am to 4:30 pm and in winters months from October to March is 9 am to 4 pm
- Entrance fees: rupees 40 for Indian adults and rupees 20 for Indian children above 5 years. For foreigners adults its rupees 200 and for foreigner children above 5 years it is 100 rupees.
