CITS Admission 2024-25 – Eligibility, Application Fee, Apply Online

The Directorate General of Training (DGT) will soon announce the CITS admission notification for the 2024-25 session.

What is CITS?

The Craft Instructor Training Scheme (CITS) helps individuals become skilled craft instructors for Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs). The program trains candidates in both technical skills and knowledge.

Admission Details:

  • Program: Craft Instructor Training Scheme (CITS)
  • Session: 2024-25
  • Entrance Exam: All India Common Entrance Test (AICET)
  • Institutions: National Training Institutes (NITs) and Institutes of Training of Trainers (IToTs)
  • Application Period: Expected in June 2024
  • Exam Date: Expected in July 2024

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Age: Minimum 18 years, no upper age limit
  • Education: ITI certificate or a degree/diploma in a relevant field with at least one year of experience
  • Note: Holders of Craftsmen of Excellence (CoE) certificates are not eligible

Application Fee:

  • General/OBC: ₹500
  • SC/ST/PH/EWS: ₹300

How to Apply:

  1. Visit NIMI Online Admissions
  2. Find and click on the CITS admission link for 2024-25.
  3. Register as a new candidate and get your login credentials.
  4. Log in and fill out the application form with your details.
  5. Review and submit your details.
  6. Upload your photo, signature, and required documents.
  7. Pay the application fee online.
  8. Submit and save or print the confirmation.

Expected Timeline:

  • Notification Release: June 2024
  • AICET Exam: July 2024

Selection Process:

  • Candidates are shortlisted based on their AICET performance.
  • Shortlisted candidates undergo an admission counseling process to enroll in various CITS trades at affiliated NITs and ITIs.

Additional Information:

  • The online admission form and guidelines will be available on the NIMI website.
  • Private colleges may also offer admission through this entrance test.

  • Apply as soon as the notification is released.
  • Ensure all details are correct before submitting.
  • Keep a copy of the submitted form for future reference.
